Listen To Your Soul

“Use this time in your life to do what you want, be what you want. Don’t look back with regret.”

There are so many truths in that short sentence; original author Unknown.

I’ve had a lot of up’s and downs in my life, but I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about them or contemplating coulda, woulda, shoulda. Most of the time I just keep moving forward. There are times that I was in my own way,  preventing myself from reaching goals or seeing the beauty that is life. And sometimes there was someone else who made a decision that changed my life in some way.

The other day I had a moment, one of those moments were things make perfect sense. Funny how that happens usually when we least expect it.

I was scrolling through my phone and I came across this picture from when we went up to Mount Baker a few weeks ago. The photo really does not do it justice. Mount Baker is breathtaking and totally intimidating at the same time.

This view, at this angle reminded me that we never know what could be just around the corner.

Two years ago, if someone would have said I would be living in Washington, I would have thought you were a full of it. I never imagined life would take me here.

The first time I came to visit, I knew this is where I was meant to be. A few months later, I was on the road. From the moment I arrived, it has felt like home.

It’s funny, I had to travel so far to find something that I love some much. Thinking about all the roads left to travel, quickens my pulse, and nudges me to explore. And that is what I am going to do…

Sometimes I miss Texas so much, but I remember the reasons I had to leave and the pain that brought me to this beautiful place. Although we can’t escape pain, we can learn to move past it and to move on. The view on my way to work each day and natures beauty that surrounds me, remind there is so much to be grateful for.

I took a huge leap into the unknown, and I am better for it. Almost 2 years later, I have no regrets of the time I’ve spent here. I am looking forward to more adventures. You really never know what’s around the corner.

Imagine that, a Texas girl finding herself in the Pacific Northwest, sighhhh.

Take the leap! You never know were it may lead!

Happy Sunday!

Wishing you all Peace and Love!
